Block-by-Block Industries works with our customers on all phases of their commercial sewing projects, from design and prototype development through the production of their finished products. We are strong partners for commercialization of new companies, product lines and services.
The process for the development of a sewn product begins with the customer’s ideas. Not only their product ideas, but their plans for success as well. We work with clients to develop a shared project plan and budget for a successful launch. This includes collecting detailed information from the client, including specifications for the product laid out in a sketch, and desired materials (Technical Pack).
A working prototype from the client is preferable. However, from the technical pack, our team can also create a prototype of the product. This allows us to determine the mechanics of producing the product in our contract sewing center in Asheville, North Carolina. We use the prototype to analyze the labor involved in order to provide an accurate quote on your contract sewing project. That information, combined with details about materials and quantity, allows us to provide an estimate for any industrial sewing job.
Our staff are experts at pulling together all the details for economical, high-quality and repeatable production.
Block-by-Block Industries has the capacity to produce a wide range of items, from bags and purses, to industrial apparel and soft goods. Our sewing machines include single-needle, bar-tack, cover stitch, walking foot, and overlock. We use industrial hand cutting equipment for prototyping and smaller production quantities, and can migrate to full Gerber cutting tables for larger volumes.
Once your product is completed, we manage all shipping and related logistics.
